In the words of Ludacris

Have you ever heard of the term fast lane?  Passing lane?  How about slower traffic keep right?  All those phrases have meaning.  There's even
signs that say slower traffic keep right.

Now you may wonder why it's important or say "well I'm doing the speed limit so that's all that matters."  Well whether you are doing the speed limit or not if the traffic in the right lane is going the same speed as you or faster you are in the wrong lane.  It's about order.  We all drive on the right side of the road don't we?  So why is using the proper lane any different?

If you refuse to get over whether doing the speed limit or not you are nothing more than the artery blocking cholesterol of our highway system.  You are the weakest link.  You are RUDE!!! What makes you so special that you feel it is ok to be in my way?  What makes you in any way more important than I?  Now, you may ask me the same question.  And I am no more special than you.  But I didn't make up all these phrases now did I?  These phrases come from the "rules of the road."  And actually they used to be in the Florida drivers' handbook.

If you've ever seen a car bouncing back and forth between lanes to pass traffic (which is considered rapid lane changes and is illegal by the way) they wouldn't have to do that if people weren't blocking up the left lane.  We all talk about how terrible road rage is.  Well, maybe we should address the source.

No clue

So, we're supposed to write a blog every week.  Well, this we was pretty uneventful.  This I really have nothing worth writing about.  This is of course just my opinion.  But, I think it is safe to say that If I don't feel its worth writing about there are few people that would find it worth reading about.  Being that I have nothing of any value to write about today I will just regurgitate a bunch of events from the past week onto the keyboard and see what sticks.

Lets see, what has happened this week?  Hmmm...  yup that almost sums it up.  I've done next to nothing but homework and housework for the past week.  With the exception of today.  Today, I had to go pick up a friend's kid a his school being that there have been some afterschool issues and she doesn't leave work until 4.  It was rather strange going to a school that I haven't been to in over 28 years.  When I went to this school there was a bus ramp and a parking lot that had the car pick up lane in it.  So, I went to where I thought I was supposed to go.  I was wrong.  Turns out there is now a new pick up lane that was built there the old baseball fields were.  Anyhow, picked up the kid went to the store to get it something to eat and then his mom came and picked him up at my place.  Looks as though I will be doing this for a few days.

Oh well there you have it.  That was the highlight of my past seven days.  Nothing eventful, nothing exciting.  But, you can't say that I didn't warn you.  If you have made it this far you should probably seek therapy or find a hobby.

Mob Rule

It seems to be a regular thing these days to see our state in the news.  Rarely is it for a good reason.  In just the past 3 years or so we have had the joy of producing Casey Anthony, George Zimmerman, and now Robert Corchado.  For those not aware Robert Corchado was involved in an automobile crash on April 9th.  He re-ended a car that then drove into a KinderCare killing one child and injuring many more.  He then left the scene, ditched his vehicle and rented a rental car.  He turned himself into authorities the following day.

I am not here to defend nor prosecute Corchado.  As the facts stated above are the only facts we really know about the case.  However, if you look at any form of social media you will no doubt find post after post calling for this man's head.  We saw the same thing with Anthony and Zimmerman.  What ever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"?  Now, you may say that that only applies in a court of law.  Any you are correct.  To that I ask, when did you court of public opinion supersede our legal system?  When do you say enough is enough and stop with this mob rule mentality?  STOP!!!! Stop listening to the talking heads.  Stop thinking what you are told to think. In the words of Timothy Leary "Think for yourself. Question authority."

I fear that this blog will no doubt fall on deaf ears (or blind eyes). So, that being the case, I have pitchforks and torches on sale.

Blogging

So, here we are.  For many years I have not understood the whole idea and or reason for blogging. I find the whole idea of it to be rather narcissistic.  The idea of writing about me, my ideas, or my feelings and posting them on the internet doesn't really make much sense.

Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a blog as the following: a Web site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments, and often hyperlinks provided by the writer; also :  the contents of such a site http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/blog.  So, by this definition essentially a blob is a diary.  I don't know of many people that will allow a stranger to read their diary.  But, now in this digital world that we live in people suddenly share all their wares on the internet.  I regularly hear so many people use the term "invasion of privacy" and then post on social media things of a very personal nature.

Further,I am somewhat of a walking contradiction.  I am a very open yet very private person.  I will share my whole world with my friends. But would prefer those that don't know me to have little knowledge of my existence.  I am the most conceited yet humble person you will ever meet.  I know how awesome I am but yet have no idea why anyone would wish to read what I write.  That being said I know that I am writing this for no purpose at all for it is my assumption that it will never be read.  Of course that would make it rather private and counter my earlier statement of letting the whole world read my diary now wouldn't it?
